Teens: What do you think of the Vampire Academy series?

I've heard of them but never read them. I'm not into the whole vampire, stereotypes, romance etc. I mean I read the Twilight saga under similar cirstances (the threats) and they're okay but mostly I watch the Twilight films to see them kick and to use my over-active imagination to laugh at serious intervals.
