Is this a good hunting/survival knife please read on?

What are you trying to do, chop down a tree? Stab a bear? If you are trying to skin small game, then a big old knife like that wouldn't be much help. I'm not much into knives, but I would say a high quality folding pocket knife would be a better buy. Pellet gun? If you don't have one already, save up till you are 18 and buy a real gun. 50 to 75 dollars that would go to a pellet gun is a good start for a gun fund. Trust me, the gun will be an investment that can last a lifetime, a pellet gun will sit in the closet after a year. Delay your gratification my friend, it will be worth it.
